My wife was in an accident on her way to work at 5AM. She had only got about a mile from home. There was a deer standing in the road and she was slowing down, almost stopped. Another guy behind her was going way too fast to stop. He was skidding up behind her and turned to the right at the last second clipping the back right of our Ford Escape, then going another 75 yds thru a field and nose diving into a creek. I'm just glad he turned at the last second. It wouldv'e been a hell of an impact if he hadn't. She's lucky she didn't get hurt. It coulda been a lot worse.
The picture ain't very good. It wrinkled up the right quarter fender, bent the suspension and wheel, bent the bumper, and broke out the tail light assembly.

Hope she was ok. Car can be replaced.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I'm glad he could at least do some defensive driving to go with his offensive movements :argh:.  Cars can be replaced so I'm ecstatic that your wife is OK :highclap:.
I say what I think not think what I say.

Ed, Glad the wife is okay.  You can be the best driver in the world, and all it takes is some idiot to ruin your day.  On a lighter note.  Maybe your wife can go coyote hunting with you now?

A lot of times, the difference between life and death is usually luck and a few micro seconds.

Glad she is OK.   As for the car, that's what insurance is for.
