someone dropped him off at my house in February when he was just a pup. i took him in.
he has since learned to tree squirrels and run rabbits. he is also showing great promise as a coon hound. hes a good dog all the way around and he loves the kids.
any of you have any idea what breeds may be in his genetics? someone said American Pointer but i dont know.
i do know he love to retrieve in the water and will even go after fish as you reel them in.

Shoot... Miss Cathryn, that's one of those very rare "Jack of all trades" dogs. :eyebrownod:
Jacks make great dogs and are good family members and hunters!
Jerry
He is rare indeed. Hang on tight to that one.
I can see some pointer characteristics in his looks :wo: http://www.americanpointerclub.org/index.shtml
Regardless, if he's good with the kids and he hunts, then he's a keeper for sure :eyebrow: :congrats:
I would say a fine mixture of fun.
Looks like a pure bread mutt! Best money cant buy,a keeper for sure!
