I gotta ask if any of you use smokeless tobacco products while using your coyote calls? I like nothing better than a jawful of Redman when i'm hunting but I'm a little hesitant to try calling a call with a cheek full of tobacco. I just don't think the call would ever be the same. What do ya'll think?

I tried playing around with my mouth calls while chewing dont work to good. I dont ever chew while on stand but if I did, I dont see it working to well. A little spit while not chewing is bad on the call. I would think a little chew spit would be HELL on one.

I do. I spit when I'm using hand calls or using a e-caller. I just time it right. When using a handcall I just manipulate it so the Copenhagen stays out of the way and won't screw with the calling sequence. Too much moisture can mess with an open reed call. But I won't let my calling mess with my habit.

I've been chewing since I was 15, tried to quit twice and said da hell with that.
But I worked at Cabela's years ago and the stuff wasn't allowed on the floor because someone got caught spittin in a secretary's garbage can.  :shck:

I wasn't ready to quit so I learned real fast to swallow the broth and conceal the fact that it's even in my mouth.  :innocentwhistle:
Haven't spit for a loooong time.

With that comes the ability to blow a call while packing the Cope
Not a problem, hell I eat a sandwhich and drink beer with my lip loaded.

I know, I know...I'll be dead before I'm 50. It used to be 30, made it there and it went to 40. I'm there so we'll shoot for 50.

Do me one favor though...if tonights the night and I die before I wake..........Someone feed Jake.

I quit Kodiak about 4 years ago....hardest thing I ever did. It played old Billy with my calling though :) Glad i quit, but sometimes...........  :holdon:

I've tried calling w/ a chew in,  & I don't mean that little league snuff stuff :nono:, & think I do better w/o it. I don't know what the coyotes think? W/ the chew in the cheek it tends to let the air into the cheek & messes w/ my control.

I don't chew or dip, howeve,r I do drink Pepsi. I have yet to try to blow a mouth call with a mouth full. Are they water proof?
Life's tough, it's tougher if you're a nasty, fat, unemployable, drunk, socialist. To say nothing of the fact you are an embezzler.

Glad I read this mouthful thing........ :whew: I was a little worried.

My method of operation is almost a carbon copy of Jim's. I've been dipping since I was about 10 years old. My girlfriend got me started on Copenhagen in Gillette, Wyoming.

Been dipping ever since. Haven't use a spit cup or needed one for a long time. Wastes a lot of the goodness. Use to dip Copenhagen, Skoal, etc. , but it started getting way to pricey for this ole' boy so I went to Grizzly. I sleep with it in, eat, kiss my wife (ONCE) :pout:, I do everything with it in, but I don't like calling with it. My howler is too pretty to stain up just yet.......I'm sure I'll call eventually with it in.
