Title: 108 days till Tennessee season opens
Post by: Roundman on June 10, 2009, 07:33:14 PM
Well it's just around the corner. How many guys start shooting in early summer? I start in July, shooting a few times just ta build up some strength. Come August I try to start dialing in the zero, taking most of my shots from around the 40yd mark. For me this makes the 20 and 30 yarders seem like chip shots. What about you fellas? How do ya prepare for season?

Heck yeah, never too early to start.
I used to shoot a lot of 3-D through the summer, but haven't done that now in several years,
except one weekend a year at our Iowa Bowhunters Association Fall Festival in Aug.
A couple different years I shot FITA in our Iowa Games. I hear ya about shootin from 40,
after practicing for that at 40, 50, and 60 yds, it made 20 seem real close.
I'm goin on a boar hunt again this year in Texas on Labor Day weekend. I'll probably start shootin
on a regular bases in July too.
