Due to the extensive organization and planning required for this event, we always open registration for February's hunt on July 15th of the preceding year.  This allows teams to get in early and start strategizing while organizers work ahead to allocate prizes and permits for the event.  As always, 100% of the entry fees taken in will go back to the participants.  Door prizes and meals alone account for nearly 80% of each individual registration fee- along with nearly $2,000 in grand prizes awarded to the top two teams.

In an effort to keep the event manageable and prevent crowding of the massive huntable properties we set a cap on registrations each year.  Once we reach that number of contestants, registration for the event is closed!   This year we're going to accept the first 60 hunters.  Registration will be open until we meet that number, or January 15th, whichever comes first.   Last year it took us approximately 6 weeks to fill the hunt with 50 contestants- this year we increased the cap but still expect to book the event rather quickly.  In the first 28 hours of registration we have taken in 13 of our 60 hunters.

As this event has improved over the years we've seen a sharp increase in the percentage of teams that come back annually.  Of course that's a great thing- but we're also leaving room for new contestants to sign up from all over the country.  This season we expect to have hunters representing Ohio , Kentucky , Tennessee , Michigan , Illinois , Missouri , West Virginia and I just got an email from California from a previous contestant that says despite his move- he's coming back for 2009!!   This contest has gone nationwide in its appeal to sportsmen but still manages to find a few new regional teams each season!

In its 5th year, the Indiana Predator Challenge will again grow in every way.  Along with an increased entry list you'll see new prizes and a new rifle contest combined with more door prizes and an entirely new menu for Saturday's meal.  While we all certainly hope to harvest a few predators and take home some prizes, the IPC regulars show up each year for good times, great people and some beautiful country!  This event, more than any other, is built on camaraderie and friendship.  Regardless of experience level, age or physical condition: EVERYONE has a great time!
