A recent article in the TN wildlife magazine stated that on average "TN has a coyote density of .5 - 1 coyote per 640 acres".

I would have to say that in my experience in calling this is probably a good estimate. The calling can be tough but I enjoy calling in TN and I don't get wrapped up in the whole east vs. west thing, I honestly think that if you study your areas & understand what you are doing you will kill coyotes even if the density is .1 to every 640 acres (or lower).

Does anybody have any numbers from other states that give a estimate of the coyote density? I'm curious about some of the "top states" for predator hunting.

And no......... this thread is not meant to open up a can of worms.
