Can anyone explain what the purpose of the accu trigger on the savge rifles are for

It's just the name given to the Savage trigger. For years they were known to be very accurate but had terrible triggers. So Savage put together a new trigger and named it the "Accu Trigger" For the price they are hard to beat.

I have a Savage .243 with the accu trigger and like it a lot. The trigger is adjustable although I left mine the way it came from the factory.  Light and crisp. The gun itself is plenty accurate for what I use it for and the price is hard to beat.
