CharlieBee's little Osage call is an Arky Hybrid......I think it is more versatile than any enclosed reed call I have heard....

Here are two sound clips of CharlieBee's Hybrid,....

First clip is using it as an enclosed reed call...note the yote vocals on the end of the clip...keeping in mind it is an enclosed reed call...

The call can then be pulled apart, and used as an open reed.....

Here is a sound clip using it as an open reed....yote vocals on the end...

I thought ya'll might like to hear this little call as I am adding it to my line up immediately....

Lemme know what ya'll think about 'em.....I am actually quite proud to be able to offer these....they work great for a beginner right on up to an old hand at calling....they also allow folks who don't do so well with an open reed, to make some decent KiYis, and yote vocals.....

They are available in various woods.... $30.00 delivered....thanks for lookin' and listenin'....

Here's a picture of one...

That is certainly a versatile call. How did you howl on a closed reed call?

I like the sound of both :yoyo:.  Are they easy to learn to blow like that?  What type reeds? Metal?

3 questions

  • What are the other woods available?
  • Got any with a larger diameter sound chamber (barrel) ?
  • Why aren't you posting them in the Store?

Bob.....it works that way because it is in actuality an open reed tone board/reed assembly, placed inside a call body where your mouth doesn't come in contact with the reed, and tuned accordingly....or you can pull it apart, and use the tone board/insert assembly as an open reed.....

Richard.....They are super easy.....the reeds are mylar.......it  is a great beginners call...

Jim.....they are available in about any wood, and that's the only size insert available at present....but it is plenty loud.
If any one wants one, all they have to do is let me know :)

Thanks guys!!
