I didn't take any fishing poles with me. I just wanted to set up the sonar and finish the transducer mount on the water so I knew where the water lines were. I just drifted around and looked at the bottom of the river with the down imaging. I'm really going to like this thing.

Wthhhhhhhh.....thats sweeeeetttttttt
I am not sure that you will be able to use that when you start fishing gators, but you could put a few small ones in the back.
Jerry
Well...I only got one hook anyway Jerry. Remember? :laf:

Or at least getting paid to help build them.
Jerry
The hummingbird is gonna be awesome. That down imaging shows images of the bottom and anything down there. I love it so far. I should have takin some pics of the brush and logs it shows. Very cool.
I actually never made a nickel extra on those FEMA houses. But then again I dont work on the line. Some of the line guys did roll some nice dough though. :eyebrow: :innocentwhistle: :eyebrownod:
I'm definitely living much cheaper then I was as the last daughter just moved back out a couple months ago, for the second time. Remember the ex wifes car accident back in 2013 which put her in a coma and then a very bad place, pulled and sent the kids all back here from college.
They got back on their feet, moved out, got jobs and started their lives again. Which in turn majorly lowered the household expenses. :laf: Heck the only thing I'm feeding now is myself and the bird feeders.\
So yah!...with the hours we are working (thank you Trump) I finally got my house paid for, bought a new truck, and now a hummingbird
I am seriously in a place right now in my life that I honestly never thought I'd see. :thumb2:
All kidding aside thats great to hear and i hope you slam the fish in that high tech bass battleship! I could see going out and not even fishing, just looking at the bottom on the hummingbird would be mighty interesting.

That's good to hear Jim, I'm happy for you. :yoyo: I bet you miss that grandbaby though. ;yes;
Pat
You nailed it Pat, I miss her tremendously. She video chats Grandpa once in awhile and it sure makes my day.

Did you see any of your snagged lures down there in the brush and logs? Oh, sorry. I forgot that snagged lures don't happen to you. Did you see anyone else's snagged lures?
Jerry
When the snags hear Jim champion is on the water they all head for the other side of the river and the bass swarm his lures because they know he's going to catch them all eventually anyways and they just want to get it over with.

Truer words have seldom been spoken.
Jerry
no...but I like that idea :eyebrownod:
I doubt I'd see a snagged lure but you DO have my curiosity peaked.
It's still too cold here to do what I want to do, but I may take it back out this weekend and play with the down imaging. It doesnt work real good out in the shop :innocentwhistle: :laf:
Throw some rocks in the bucket. It'll work better that way right?? :laf: :laf:
Wow that looks like a nice set up.
Would like to see some pics of the images from the Hummingbird. I have a Garmin Striker 4 and get frustrated with it (need to youtube it to understand it better, I guess). Anyway, that Hummingbird looks way cooler than the Garmin
Were suppose to get smacked with another snowstorm tomorrow so Im sure I wont be wetting her this weekend. :innocentwhistle:
But I do wanna get some pics off it.
I hear ya Dave on learning to use them. I cycled through the menu over a dozen times adjusting different settings out on the water, only to get frustrated and screw up the whole view. I'd have to hit the "restore all default settings" and start over. lol :madd:
Life should have a "restore all default settings" :alscalls:
LOL! Wouldnt that be grand
Whew! A restore default setting for life. I like that! I suspect that most people by age 30 yearn for such a button to push. I needed that button by the time I was 6!
Two levels of meaning in your brief comment, Nasty, one of them deeply profound. Closest there is to a "restore default" for humans is the grace of God. It can remove guilt and give us a fresh clean slate for writing our life story but all too sadly does not remove the consequences of my actions on humans, be it myself or others.
Spring snow this morning down low on the mountains I can see out my kitchen window so I must quit philosophizing and sermonizing and go see if I can find a track of something to chase this morning. Hope the Tractor Grease Café is open on my way home.
Amen! It's obvious to me that your a man who enjoys the bounties of this great earth! I would go to the tractor Grease Café every day just because of the name. :yoyo:
Why, thank you, nasty! I posted an update about the Tractor Grease Café on the thread of that name.
Snow melted fast, all gone in the lower valley before I got out there, though it would drizzle misty rain now and then and kept adding fresh snow to the peaks above. I should have been there before daylight to check tracks by headlight. It snowed just before dark last night, so animals had all night to make tracks, but I stayed home till good light to see if the snow stuck and then azzled around on my way out there. I started to set up to call in a huge half-bowl mountainside basin but there were too many dirt bikes, four wheelers and target plinkers so I decided that as a retiree I would come back on a week day when the place will be deserted.
We now return this program to the unfolding story of the Yak Man from Wisconsin... :congrats:
You mean the Yak Man from Wisconsin isnt an urban....suburban....legend?!.... :innocentwhistle:
Whoa whoa whoa...he thinks he stole the thread and I was just getting into this cafe story...please continue.
Sweet ride!!! Looking forward to seeing fish on that Helix.
