I always say my funnest gun is my Crosman 1377 air pistol which is .177 caliber. They used to make it in .22 calber many years ago but the only way to get one in the past was to either find an old one or modify a new 1377...FINALLY Crosman listened and brought the .22 back!!..these are classic Americana!

And they are selling for about half the MSRP.

I'm not sure but I think my step father had one of those. He had one that looked awful dang close to it if not.
I can remember pumping that thing 10 times, (and it took everything I had to get it to 10) and shooting beer bottles down at the dump with it. I was so impressed that it broke them. :laf:

I bought a Gamo V5 for knocking squirrels off the bird feeder, for a little over a hundred bucks and ended up giving it to my daughter after I realized it wasnt going to put a squirrel down.  :iroll:

I see according to their site, they are coming out with some Noslers® for it. :sneer:

I'm kinda glad you posted this...I'm going to do some shopping around for price, and I'm thinking I'm going to own one of these before the night is over.
The neighbors are complaining about me hanging out the window with the Marlin 22LR

They are a blast to shoot and plink with especially with ammo prices these days..and if you like to tinker there is an endless amount of modifications you can do to them, fancy grips, shoulder stocks, optics, soup up the internals,:

Like a laser? :eyebrow:
I'm looking for a laser right now. I can believe how cheap they are selling the gun for.

You will be pretty happy with the accuracy with open sights or optics for sure...read some reviews, very, very few issues. I'm thinking of throwing a steel breech on the .22 model and then one of these:

Wow...I was just reading that site myself. They seem to be selling it for less then anyone right now.

I'd like to have a laser because with some of the positions I have to get into to be concealed or minimize movement when shooting out of the bedroom window doesnt allow me to look down the barrel and use the sights.

I cant believe I posted that. Makes me sound like some kind of serial killer :doh2:

If your near a Walmart they sell em and u might be able to use ship to store and not pay any shipping !

I axed about hunting with a laser here in NH and they told me it was illegal cause you would be illuminating or lighting an animal with a laser/light, even if it was in broad daylight !

Id like to try one out though, never have.

Really
We got a Supercenter a few miles away.
By the way...what mounts are you using on your 1377 up there? Those dont look like the 459mt's.

If you get a steel breech, like on the one I have on mine, then you can mount any kind of optic onto the gun using rim fire rings...I use high see through mounts cuz I wanna put a rear sight on so I can use it with scope or open sights at the same time.

Will chime in to say that I've had the .17 caliber version for years, used only with open sights mostly for grouse, and it is super accurate.  I did extensive testing for accuracy from a rest and learned that mine is most accurate with 7 pumps.  It is almost as accurate with nine pumps and that is mostly how I shoot it.  It kills grouse as quick as a .22 rimfire if you hit them in the head or neck spine.    Mine puts five shot groups into a hole under 3/8 inch at 25 feet from a rest.    When I first got it I shot it a LOT, and could pretty consistently cut dandelion stems at 20 feet or so.    Fun to take along to family picnics, fishing, etc. besides carrying in the woods for grouse when hunting big game.

I use mine when I am hunting on stand and those damn squirrels gather and start chattering at you...I slip out the 1377, pop, silence... :eyebrow:
