40 MPH wind gusts from the Northwest, made our Eastern shores a dredged up mess. Sloughs no wider then 5 feet had waves in them  :laf:

Missed 3, caught 3, and only ended up with one keeper.

Jim,

If you would have used that round tin lure you would have caught a BUNCH more.

Hawks Feather

That's it.  The super secret lure that was laid out on the big one the other day.  The one you used to catch that fish and then tried to "cover it over" with a comment about just putting it there for comparison.

Jim, seeing all these post of you and the bass are kinda making me wish I could fish them. Never really targeted them as a youngster, but caught a fair share of them I guess.

Sure looks like they would be fun all day chucking lures at.

Oh, and the dogfish thing looks kinda cool too. Next time can wash him off and hold him up for a good pic so those bright colors show better.

FinsnFur

LOL, absolutely not, but it's funny you say that...because I was about 400yds from shore on an island by myself taking to that nasty thing as he rolled around.  :laf:

I said, "C'mon now, your getting yourself all full of crap and I gotta try and take your picture here". He didnt seem to
care.

I put my foot on him and used pliers to de-hook him. I picked one up ONCE...will never do it again.  :pout:

Jim......you should be ashamed of yourself.  :hahaha: Then again......I am used to catching 20+ trout in one trip.

awh

Another gret pic Jim. Are the large mouth on the nest there yet? Lil-man has been catching the crap out of them here....on a trout worm of all things. An orange trout worm to boot. I couldn't figure out why till I started following him around. He was casting on the nest. (And rubbing in that he was out fishing me... :holdon:)

They dont seem to be Danny...in fact I had one day over the weekend I fished for 6 hours straight and never got a bump.
Our night and mornings are still pretty cold, in the mid 50's, and then by late afternoon up to 80...so they should be crawling onto their beds real soon.
