Title: Jim-I need computer help
Post by: Joel Hughes on August 23, 2007, 01:16:28 PM
On another board, Mike posted a link to their test website http://test.gofoxpro.com/
I take it that it's in test status b/c they're not quite done with it yet.  Anyhoooo...I can listen to the sounds from my home computer, but not at work.  When I hover over the sound names at work, nothing happens.

Computer nerd...I mean Jim...what do I need to enable on my computer to get that to work?

Just by looking at the web page I'm going to assume they have either an activieX plugin triggered when you mouse over...or a JavaScript application.

The problem, most likely is that the network your work computer is on, has either one or both of those disabled. Most companies do, due to security risks involved with certain websites. Java and Active X in the wrong hands provides a nice entry hatch to the computer.
Depending on what browser your using, it can be set to alert you before triggering such applications or disable them all together...in your internet options.
If your network guru is any good, he can also disable your ability to change those options yourself.
