Title: Nice pair for 4 Paws
Post by: possumal on November 23, 2014, 05:17:58 PM
4 Paws made a late afternoon stand at a new farm he got permission to hunt, kind of getting a jump on the end of the orange army yearly invasion.  He sat up in an old barn which has a wooded area behind it and a big pasture from left all the way to the right side.  He put his Shockwave and decoy out about 40 yards in front by a fenced off sinkhole, with the new Raspy Jack playing about volume 25.  About 30 minutes into the stand, this pair entered the pasture to his left about 250 yards out. They hung up temporarily, so he switched to Vole Squeaks.  The female was trying to work to get the wind, so he stopped the male at about 135 yards, and anchored him.  The female continued to the right, and 4 Paws hurried to that side of the barn, and barked at her.  She stopped at about 140 yds, with her head and neck showing, and he anchored her right there. Both DRT.  Here is a picture:

:laf:  I can identify with getting out of the wind and cold rain!

Setting up in a barn sounds excellent.  Nice fur.
