I guess I shouldn't procrastinate any longer. Does anyone have any motel recommendations? Would it be better to check out ones around Cadiz or Dover? The Super 8 near Cadiz seems like a safe bet, but not having ever been there I thought maybe someone could toss out a suggestion.

Thanks,

Mike

There is a Days-Inn and a Hampton Inn in Kuttawa they are about 15 minutes from the North welcome station on the Trace and are fairly new Hotels both were probably built in the last 10-12 years.  That would be about 30-45 minutes from wranglers camp.

Several of the guys in the past have stayed at the Dover Inn at Dover,Tn. CCP, Bopey, or Coyotehunter1 could tell you more about it. I've never stayed there.

Hey Mike,
Like Ed said several of us have stayed there before, it’s a pretty good place. The Dover Inn is located across from the southern entrance of LBL and the Trace. It's about 30 miles or so south of Wranglers' campground. It's nothing real fancy but it is clean and the people there have always been super nice. They have both motel rooms & cabins with all the modern stuff like beds, H&C, running water, elect. Heat and inside bathrooms with real flushing toilets, some even have kitchens. Unless it has changed hands, their phone # is (931)-232-5556.  I believe the owner's name is Ford.  Anything else you want to know about it?  :laf:

Here’s their webpage :

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

There are some small motels in Aurora, KY about 10 miles from Wranglers campground.  I have stayed there in years past when I was hunting area 10.  I have not been there in a few years so I can't recommend a particular motel.

Google Aurora, KY and you will get some motels.  Here are a three of them.

Thanks for the info guys. Got some prospects to check out tomorrow or monday.

Barry, I'll see what I can scare up. Unfortunately, momma doesn't let magazines stay around long, so if I want to keep them, I have to take them to work. I should have a New Holland News and an Angus rag at the least.
