After seeing your hand carved lures you intrigued me to try carving my own lure.
This is my first attempt but it turned out pretty good.
Whatya think?

Wow! That actually looks like a real live Brook trout! If you are interested in selling it I would like to make an offer and add it to my collection?! :innocentwhistle: :innocentwhistle:
That paint job is ALMOST as good as HuntnCarve :innocentwhistle:
Jim that's pretty good but you forgot to put hooks on it and I belive you got the number of rays wrong on the dorsal fin.
Anddddd the hits keep coming :alscalls:
Yah...first attempt so it's like a practice run. I do appreciate the constructive criticism.

I did a Brook trout on a moose antler tip. No where near as good as Jim's perch trout. :laf: (https://flic.kr/p/23STebD)
I just saw that trout and my hand jerked automatically to set the hook from thousands and thousands of casts on a flyrod, and I knocked my beer over 🍺🍻
Dave, you have an outstanding fish, but I have to say that Jim's just looks more 'alive' so to speak. I am in awe of both of your work.

Jerry, Let's see which last longer sitting on a shelf? :eyebrow:
In my decades here on this forum I don't think I have ever seen Jim champion with a trout? 🕵
