Went out yesterday afternoon with my hunting buddy. We were hunting an area that several coyoyes have been spotted and heard in the last few days. We set up in a small strip of woods next to a cut-over. Using the Foxpro we started with a ground hog distress. It wasn't long when this male came sneaking in.

He was being very cautious, tip toeing. I shot him with a Remington 870 3"Dead Coyote load at about 25 yds, killed him dead. No kicking at all, just stone cold.

He weighed 24.4 lbs. Definately bigger than my last one. I can't wait to go again. I am definately hooked on this. Did I mention I had buck fever while coyote hunting, man my heart was racing, heavy breathing. It was awsome!!!

I know my rifle is laid down here but we tried to take a few pics and then do another stand before dark, but no luck.

Congratulations!  Once you get hooked on predators it is addictive, just have to have more.  Then you need a dedicated rifle, a dedicate shotgun and the list goes on and on.  When you have to go to work you'll start to get the shakes thinking about calling.  You'll start using handcalls and practice while your driving, people will start looking at you funny thinking "what's that strange noise coming from that car, should I call the police, sounds like somebody crying for help.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Very nice...it's an addiction isnt it? :eyebrow:

Anyone notice the dental work and chin job the dead coyote load performed? Little groove in the chinny chin chin.
