I was behind a guy that almost got one on the way back to town from the Fish and Game club this week. Four of them crossed the road - one running and three flying and I swear he touched the tail feathers on one of them. If he hadn't hit the brakes I think it might have had a double.

Our season opened a few weeks ago. I got one the first week, 20 lbs. with 11" beard. No pictures of it. Got this one last Thursday morning, 18 lbs. 9-1/2" beard.

I shot the runt this year so far.
Jake. 4" beard. Nubs for spurs. Weight guesstimation was 18-20lbs. He was a big little fella!!

Nice bird Glen. And remember most people don't eat the spurs or the beard and unless it is a Butterball turkey larger doesn't necessarily mean better taste.
