furless morning

Slipped out this morning at day break to make a few stands while it was still brisk. Man what an excellent morning for it.

Came home Criner style

but did manage to dig up some new stand areas.

Oh...found this but couldn't get in on the gambrel in one piece to skin it out.

Just too darned windy here today... Last week the leaves peaked here and are starting to let loose. The wood's floor is covered in fall color, time to hit the big timber.

Yeah, I had a furless day too.

Man that wind was blowing.

Going out again in the morning. It's supposed to be a nice day with only 5 mph wind. Should be a good day to hunt. Almost all the leaves are off the trees and you can see thru the woods now.

That weatherman lied again. That 5 mph wind kept blowing my hat off. No fur today either. Should have known better than to hunt public land on a weekend. Every time I would set up, a group of ATVs would come riding thru.

One of my stands the other day, my pup distress got greeted with a duck call.

I could see what was going to happen...so I played AC/DC from the FoxPro...and walked away.
I was either getting shot at or, AC/DC lured in some ducks for him...because he was blazin glory as I walk out.

My son had no idea I put that on the Foxpro...so when I ignited it...he was shocked to beat hell...for a milli second. Then HIS head started bangin :roflmao:
