Sooooo...if your reading this then you must have made it :eyebrownod:
I moved the forums to a subdomain this morning to make tracking its stats much easier for me. You know its all about me right? :sneer:
C'mon now...I did it while you were all in bed resting comfortably and warm with your guts full of Turkey and dressing, instead of trying to get on here.
Anyway, you'll need to update your bookmarks.
You most likely have http://finsandfur.net book marked
or
http://finsandfur.net/index.php
The new address is http://forum.finsandfur.net
So just delete your old one and bookmark the new while your here.
Yep I did it and everything worked fine
Oh GREAT and POWERFUL Oz where am I? And how did I get here?
What's this mean for us mentally challenged folk :wo:.
I'm gonna see if this one works on my phone.
:laf: Nothing changed Mikey except the address.
It doesn't mean anything really Barry. It was just getting too difficult to try and separate or figure out traffic, stats, errors, and bandwidth usage.
With the main domain being finsandfur.net and the forum in a directory inside that (finsandfur.net/forums), it was all being combined.
OooooHhhhh  :doh2:
Yeah,....see? :laf: :laf:
All makes sense now dont it :sneer:
Don't know if this has to do with the new sub domain or something I have done, but now the threads come up on my screen in reverse order from what they did yesterday. The most recent post on the thread, the last one, shows first, and the preceding posts are in sequentially older order down the page. The original post that started the thread is the last one at the bottom , even if it is the bottom of a multi-page thread. That means that I read them backwards, which is kind of disconcerting, and makes me wonder what the poster is commenting about till I read back further in the thread.
Is is me or is it the new system?
If is it me, how do I get it back to real sequence?
Okanagan
I have the same thing here at first I thought I had to much to drink :roflmao: and I put my glasses on upside down :roflmao:
I think your all on crack :laf:
That was 20 years ago Jimbo
I still see things from time to time but that is suppose to get better with time,so they tell me :roflmao:
Mine was backwards .........Now they seem OK but when I post instead of returning me to the section the post is in it takes me back to the post I posted in.....
:roflmao: The post you posted is in the section you posted in...I hope like hell it is anyway.
You better not be posting in the firearms board and being returned to the tailgate :laf:
Click on your profile, then Look and Layout preferences, and scroll down to "Return to topics after posting by default"...and adjust it to your liking.

You better be coming to the LBL to explain this [stuff in a pile behind the horse]. :readthis:
:roflmao:
Something was wrong for a bit.......I will shut up about it I guess.
No Al, I see what you're saying...I think. Same thing is happening to me.
Before, if I responded to a post, say in the tailgate, after making the post I was returned to the Tailgate.
Now, if I make a post, I am returned to THAT post. At first I thought my post didn't post and started to post again, but afte scrolling down I realized the post I had posted had posted.

FWIW I discovered that since the change (yesterday?) the sequence of posts is in order if I am logged in. If I have not logged in the posts are in reverse order, most recent post first and original post at the bottom or end of the thread. No problem. I stop by and browse sometimes without logging in.

Same here.
I'll see if I can help ya's out.
Define, "Mine is set this way"
Set what way?
And when you say it's not working, what is not working?
This is a user preference and thats adjusted by the user, which option are you trying to set it at and it's, "not working?"
see i told you Jim :laf: i had to log off and then log back on :innocentwhistle:
Now my pm's are backwards to what they always were .

Last time I tried to change anything in my profile I had to phone Jim just so I could get back on the site :doh2:.
Jim, you must have fixed it. Now posts appear in order whether I'm logged in or not. Thank you. :congrats:
The only information adjustment in your profile that requires re-authentication Barry would be your email address or password.
So if you dont change either of those you'll be fine.
Thanks Jim. I'll be finer than frogs hair if I don't screw with anything

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Test, test test. Testing 1 2 3, test, test.
Still didn't work...BUT, I'm OK with it.
Still don't work on my phone. :innocentwhistle:
Whats not working Mike?
Barry at least Jim talked to you on the phone he wouldnt talk to me
He caught me by surprise :laf:
It'ls OK now. I went to preferences and UNchecked the box for "return to topics after posting by default." It is just backwards from what I thought it would be.
10-4
Now every time someone sends me a pm I get a warning/notification come up on my screen when I refresh the forum board. :pout:
Thats actually always done that Barry. It's a PM notification. Go check your PM's
Want me to go in and turn yours off for you? If you've never seen it before then you must have always had it turned off.
Never seen it before and I sure didn't go anywhere's near my profile as I can't find your phone number :doh2:
No you wouldnt have had to change it.
When I moved the forum a lot of the options were set back to default as the address of this placed changed. So members had something adjusted to anything other then default, it would have been switched back.
 How come my password changed?
How come your password changed?
How do you know it changed and how did you figure out what it was if it was changed?
