Title: 100' pine tree...no more
Post by: FinsnFur on November 07, 2010, 12:16:53 AM
I've never seen a 100 foot pine tree takin down surrounded by houses, so I had to take pics of it all.

Unlike whacking a tree out in the woods, by cutting out a wedge near the bottom, and then cutting in to the wedge from the other side to guide the tree as it's toppled in it's entirety...this thing got cut one limb at a time, and then one section at a time, with uncanny accuracy. It was actually pretty entertaining to watch for sure.

The whole process took this guy, just under 1 hour. Not to dang shabby. :nono:
I wish I would have gotten pics before he started, but if you imagine a 100 foot Christmas tree with limbs as far down as 6 foot from the ground...you got er.

Not a good place to be if you got vertigo :puke:.  Pretty cool Jim and thanks.  In order for me to cut down a 100 foot tree I'd have to just cut 5 twenty footers.  An arborist would be an interesting job for someone who isn't lazy :innocentwhistle:.

Jim,

Time for you to confess.  Did you go to watch the tree come down or did you go for the pizza?
