my dad and i hunted again this weekend. saw more bucks than last time. they were small and i was hopeing for a bigger buck.here are some bucks we saw

i saw my buck saterday nite. he was big. but he was staying in and close to the brush. we went back in the morning and saw him again. he know we were there as he was snorting and stomping in the brush at us. but he made a mistake. he came out a little. far enough for me to shot him. ihad buck fever again and reel bad! i was brething hard and my gun was heavy so my dad told me to take some big breaths and blow them out slow. i shot him behind the shoulder. it was a good shot! he ran a little then fell down. it was a good day as i got the biggest buck of my life.now i hope to get a bigger buck!

Congrats on a job Well Done

The only thing wrong with taking a buck that big is it will be very difficult to get a bigger one

Your post reminded me :wink:

A heads up to all;
The announcing post states that all photos must be date stamped to verify the harvest took place during the contest.
In fairness to all entries...Photo's that are not date stamped, must include a reference of some kind indicating the date of harvest.
A pic of the license, a hand made sign in the pic, etc. No photo shopped dates.

I edited the announcing post to add the option of including date referencing pics for those unable to provide date stamped pics.

thank you everyone. i am going to enter this elk i killed this week for the best photo contest. we throw out some corn and protine and the elk came in. i saw 5. two big ones 2 babies and the one i shot. my dad would not let me shot the big one as he said she was still caring for her baby. i shot her with my 250 savage and silvertip 100 grain bullet. i made a good shot. she was hard to load in the truck!!!

Way to go, Aaron!  Sounds like you had an awesome hunt.  And in the same token you learned a little lesson from your father about conservation.  And appreciating wildlife.   My hats off to you young man. :highclap:

Little Dub

My name is Carson Brannan and my dad took me hunting in Gray, GA Jones county .That day was the best.  I was in the stand with my dad and we were about to go back to camp. We waited tell 9:20 and my dad had just stud up and a big doe came down the hill. My dad couldn’t set down. My dad whispered “wait there I hear a buck grunting.” Thin a big 9 pointer walked down the hill. I got excited and was scared to move. The buck walked in behind us. My dad picked my 3030 up and cocked it. My dad spooked the deer and the deer ran the way he came in and stopped. I grabbed the gun and propped it on the railing. I found the deer in the scope I pulled the trigger when the bullet hit I knew I killed that deer.
