Notification E-mails - Activation E-mails
« on: December 11, 2007, 09:44:18 PM »
I made some changes on the boards mailing system. It will now dictate to me who's activations and who notifications are not getting to them.
If your Internet Service provider or your free e-mail provider, blocks e-mails from the board because they look like spam, then you either need to contact them, or check your spam box.

I will keep a running list of all members with e-mail accounts that are blocking mail from Fins and Fur Forums..so that you can either remedy the situation, or at the very least ...know why your not getting these.
I'll lock the topic so it can be used as a reference, any questions feel free to start a new topic. Actually I encourage it over PM's, that way others may benefit from the conversation.

Again, if your name is listed here, e-mail sent from the board TO YOU, is being blocked on your end.

This part will be for new members that are joining, and either entering a bogus e-mail address or are mis-typing their email address. If you never receive your forum activation e-mail, this is why.

Below will be a continuously updated list of email address's entered by new members that are non existent addresses. If yours is listed here, look at it closely as it is most likely typed out wrong, and that's why the activation e-mails are not being received.

Contact me at admin@finsandfur.net to edit your address in your profile so that you can activate your account.

New members signing up with Yahoo mail accounts.

Yahoo is delaying the activation e-mail coming from the board, for you to activate your account with because it looks like spam. If you don't receive yours within 24 hours, e-mail me at admin@finsandfur.net, AFTER you check your spam folders. We'll get ya in
