The hunt is in the books 3 coyotes dead and 1 cat.
Several shot and not recovered almost everyone called in coyotes! Securpro,Hammer and myself killed coyotes!
They were all called in and killed on sat! Rich shot a nice cat sat also, I missed one coyote and forgot to load my gun on a 20' coyote! That click is the loudest sound in the woods[emoji24] just ask Linemansteve he did it the next day also LOL. All in all it was a great time.
We meet some new friends and made awsome memory's. Doug brought his little terror he's a machine. Jeremy brought his squirrel dogs and killed several.
Thanks to all who made this happen and Securepro and Slag for the great meal.
Special thanks to those who donated prizes especially those who have never even made it to the hunt! Without your support it wouldn't be as big a success.
Thanks Pat for all you do and Ed and Rich for keeping it alive.
Jim you were missed greatly everyone talked about you and hoped you get better for next yr.

I will let everyone else tell there story's! Stay tunned pic will be coming in soon.

Had a great time...though my 250 and I have a date at the range this week. I called in three and missed two of them (no shot taken on the third). Not sure what's going on there, but I WILL get to the bottom of it. Can't wait until next year :yoyo:

I shot a cat on Thursday afternoon.  Shotgunned it off a log (witnessed by Weedwalker) but when we went looking for it.....it was GONE! Lost in the thick stuff somewhere. Apparently not enough shot hit it to seal the deal.

I left Friday due to a good friend's father dying and I needed to get back home.

I'm already looking forward to next year.   Congrats to all who attended.  I think everyone had a good time.

The family and I had a great time as usual at LBL,  :highclap: We didn't get there till late Friday but had a great time Saturday. 7 minutes into the first set we call in one of the fastest coyotes ever seen, he came full throttle down the hill in front of us all the way to the call/decoy did a 180 without missing a step and right back up the hill  I didn't even get him in the scope long enough to even consider a shot :rolleye: I guess hitting a 40mph coyote in the woods is not my forte... He did circle around us and popped up in front of Jessica for a split second just to show off..

9 minutes into the second set that big girl hanging from the tree crossed the field of death about 75 yards out.. :yoyo:

Love hearing the hunt stories, and wanted to attend the LBL hunt this year but work got in the way.  I live just a few miles from the LBL, and hunt there often.   I'm coming next year if you fella's can put up with someone who is just as coyote crazy as you fellow fanatics are.  Lol.    Conrats to all on a great hunt.

Man those 4 days sure went by fast even while rooming with a couple of yanks!! :doh2:
It was great to see everyone and thanks to those of you that do the work, Slags cooking was off the chain!! and thanks to Pat for getting us use of the building to have our dinner and our drawing without that it would for sure drain some of the fun out of it!!
Looking forward to next year!

It sure was nice getting to see you all again. I had a great time. Called in 4 coyotes and a bobcat. 1st coyote stopped about 50 yards out, so I lip squeeked. Apparently he's heard that before and was going to run off so I took a hail mary shot with the shotgun. I knocked his front legs out from under him but he got up and ran off. Couldn't find it. 2nd one circled me too far out for a shot and busted me. 3rd one, somebody with the initials of CCP flat out missed it at 40 yards. 4th one, same unnamed person with the initials of CCP was jerking on his trigger with the safety on while the coyote ran away. The bobcat, Semp knocked it off a log but we couldn't find it.
I didn't get to kill any, but just getting to be there with good friends is what it's all about to me anyway. I finally got to meet Ronnie (centerfire223) and see all the rest of you. Slags dinner was good as always. And we had good weather for most of the week. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year.

Another great year at the annual LBL hunt. Many thanks to all who attended and contributed to the meal and prize drawing Saturday evening. It was good seeing everyone again and getting to meet Ronnie (centerfire_223) and his son, Drew.

I had a new experience this year; squirrel hunting with Jeremy and his dogs on Thursday. If you ever get the opportunity to hunt squirrels with dogs I highly recommend you take it. It is great fun and a lot of exercise.

Ed and Richard deep in thought

Tony at the end of our last stand

Ronnie practicing his howling

Casey and Tony throwing together a light lunch of thick burgers, grilled onions and taters

Some of the securepro clan. Little Jacob had all he could take and sought out the comfort of his sissy's lap

Slag tending to his famous stew. It's worth coming to LBL just to taste the stew.

A couple of unidentified knuckleheads from several years ago. It's an old picture, but it still makes me laugh.
