:yoyo: :yoyo:  Ours has been in since mid June here. Too many leaves & skeeters right now tho. Best time here is when the crops start coming off.  :eyebrow: :eyebrow:

My mojo crow looks good under a owl decoy.

Is the Mojo Crow a motion decoy? If so do you think it works better than one without motion?

Yes its like the duck decoy.
I like to hide it a little so they just get flashes of it and come in closer to see what's going on.

maybe Jimbo will throw  one in for me when he sends us our A17 rifles?  :yoyo:  and speaking of that its time to put a new battery in the laser rangefinder and dust off the 17 HMR for some long-distance crow sniping.

Speaking of crow decoys a lot of companies that advertise them say no shine no flash, flocked decoys. Lot of the guys on crow busters forum swear by flocked decoys. In my experience crows out in the sunshine are shiny as anything. So in my experience and observations a completely dull flocked decoy with no shine to it would look out of place.
Any thoughts on that fellow crow hunters?

I agree nasty!!  They also say over there that there is nothing shiny in Nature.

I flocked 6 dekes last year & only got to hunt a couple times. Not enough crows in the area to really notice if there was a difference. Maybe this Fall I'll get to find out more if I can get out during the migration period. Local birds act differently as they are usually educated.

Duck decoys for yrs have been magnum sized on big open water it doesn't bother them at all.
We have a bumper crop of crows this yr I can't wait! Going to try and get out a lot this yr.
The 20 ga is ready to hammer.

Nice get them in close. My buddy gets mad I kill more with 7/8 oz 71/2 shot than he does with his 12 ga. Just a few more days till season comes in.

I really like foggy mornings high on the hill.
If there's a road leading out to a field that has low trees. I set back in the road and they circle the field and come straight down the road about head level calling, and just appear in your face.
It can be very fast and furious! The fog seams to disorient them and they just get more mad.
Damn I'm getting excited hurry up sept 1st.

I used to use a 20 gauge over and under with 7 1/2 shot was a good success but then decided to streamline my ammo supply and just go with the 12 gauge now.
I do like to sling a little 410 thunder at the sky now and then, but that Ammo is just a little bit more expensive.

I got my decoys today, very happy with them they look great and well put together ,almost exactly the size of a regular crow,  very handy the way the stake stores inside the body and the stake has a hook on top so you can hang them from a tree or line if you like, and the legs are removable.  I am definitely going to order some more at that price and free shipping.
