Rich got a hold of me a while back and asked me to temporarily close his site down. (I built and host it for him.)
He said he's got some health problems and isnt sure of the outcome, but didnt want people ordering calls while he awaited his fate.
He thought it might be pneumonia in both lings, but was preparing for cancer diagnoses.

I feel kinda out of place posting this, but it's been over two weeks since I've heard anything from Rich and I figured there's a lot of folks here that might wish they would have known.

Here's to hoping things progress for the better.

I think he posted on CPMCA board, and from what he said was it was pneumonia and he needs a few weeks to recover.

Matter fact ole Rich has been kicking it with the HM crew for the last few days.

Thats what someone else is telling me too.
Well, besides me looking like a fool for being concerned, I guess we now know he's doing alright.

I take that back....you guys knew...so at least now I know. :laf:
Maybe he's done making calls.

Your not a fool for being concerned by any means, your just busier then most and cant surf the other sites like we do.  Besides at Rich's old fart status, its only natural to be concerned.  (Just fun'n Rich)

He did how ever mention he was gona have his site off line until he got over it though. I would say he's gona continue to make calls, he just don't recuperate as fast as he used too.  :eyebrow:

He is still kickin' pretty good.  I saw where he had a few choice words with RH on the DH board recently.   :eyebrownod:  He ain't gave up the ghost just yet.  :nono:

P.S.  You are a VERY long ways from being a fool, Jimbo.   :nono:

I agree with Todd and Semp, you don't look like no fool. I looked around a bit
after you posted this too, it definitely looked like he was (or is) quite
sick, and wasn't exactly sure what it was.
Thanks again
Scott

Posted this morning by Rich on another site. Sounds good news.

QuoteI appreciate your kind words. I think maybe I have the pneumonia about whipped, but will wait for results of followup X rays in a couple weeks or so.

Good to hear that Rich is doing better! We will be praying for a full recovery!

Hey Jim and all concerned.  Rich and I are sort of recovering at the same time.  His last email to me indicated he was pretty sure he had the pneumonia beat, as he went out for a brief coyote hunt, walked up one long hill without breathing real hard, and damn near got a shot at one of two coyotes he called in while field testing a new Firestorm ecaller. Better yet, he has been off the Camels for 30 days now, giving him hope he can stay off them.  I don't think he has tried to make any calls, but has been working on editing some sounds on his computer with Goldwave.  All sounds good to me, and I pray he stays off those damned Camels for good.

I got over the second phase of my kidney stone operation, and feel like I am well on the way to full recovery.  My follow up with my urologist is scheduled for Oct. 22, and if all is o.k., I plan on being out coyote hunting that afternoon or at the lastest, first thing the next moning.  I am really chomping at the bit afer having two straight winters where my hunting was limited pretty bad to low back trouble combined with truck trouble I couldn't afford to get fixed.  34 killed year before last wasn't too far under my normal yearly total, but 29 last winter was worse, with the lack of times in the field from January until spring being next to nothing. That's the part I hate the worst, not getting out there just to enjoy the scenery and the sounds.

I know that Rich joins me in sincerely thanking all you fellows and gals from the bottom of our hearts for your kind prayers and thoughts.  God bless!

P.S.  Big Ed, you coyote magnet guy, start making your plans for hunting coyotes with your ancient marsupial buddy.
