pitw got this one. Any idea where it is from and how old it is?

Todd Rahm

From the " As seen on TV aisle at Walmart." $9.99?

Pintrest?

Anvilfire.com?

Ancient German Art anvil with face.
This is a very rare bench or traveling anvil probably made in the Ausberg and Nuremburg, Germany during the 18th century. The seller was located Near Bavarian. Lake Constance, Germany. The anvil is now in a U.S. collection.

The anvil is very like one in a Nuremburg museum (B&W image below). Ausberg and Nuremburg were big high art metal working centers in the 18th century.

Sorry, I'll have to pass Gunz. They pulled my library card for inappropriate google searches on the library puters.  :readthis:

I was just researching my Wiki/Google competition.  I only got " Nasty" typed in and, alarms started going off and the Library Tactical Team (LTT) surrounded me at the computer.

nastygunz

Smart move because I heard the library tactical team only recruit retired Navy Seals!
