I love it.
How well do the two dogs coordinate? Do they set each other up and use each other to their advantage?
Great to see you out & about Brad!! Hope you're all doing well!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
Hi Brad, don't be a stranger - like me. Nice dogs.
They're a team from the word go Jim. Really surprises me how fast they've learned to use/work with each other. Been many coyote's ago that one of them got bit. The mt cur has the nose if he hits a hot trail they're in trouble. They'll both keep them bayed up. I've found them with coyote's tucked under fallen cedar tree's.
Thanks Hammer & John!
My buddy got this one for Thanksgiving yesterday.

May have shown this pic before, it's one of my favorites. I have to get it printed out and put on the wall.

I love it. Always been a fan of hounding coyotes despite the huge controversy it brings.
These pics remind me of a trip I took to Vargys down in Missouri a few years ago to watch em run theyre dogs. Man we had a blast.
Nice pics, Brad! Great looking dogs too.
Thanks! I try to use them in a "retriever" fashon. They've really gotten smart and keep the coyote busy but not so much engage them these days. I had a buddy call me after he'd shot one last year but couldn't find it. It was a farm across a fairly busy street from a subdivision. He carried me to where the coyote was when he shot it (blood), and Dan (mt cur) took off like a bullet. He took a turn towards the subdivision and I "toned" him back (didn't want him hit by a car) he ran through a couple sink holes then right to a culvert under the busy road. I called him back and looked and sure enough blood drops every couple feet down the culvert. (didn't let them go into it) I guess the coyote's live in the culerts, or at least use them for travel.
Yep everything uses the culverts. Those are hotspots for trappers too big time.
My brother would always check the culverts to see if someone was already trapping a particular area for Fox and Coyotes. It's the first place a trapper wants to set. They are awesome setup for snares too.
