Apparently the vacationers set their camera to auto capture, got posed and the squirrel inserted himself.

That is great. I checked to see if it was the #1 Google like they said, and it is. For some unknown reason, the article seems to think this took place in Banff and not Minnesota. Or could it have been a Minnesota squirrel that was there on vacation and wanted some proof (you know to show his squirrely friends back home) that he was really there.

I may have worded my title wrong, maybe the people were from Minnesota, hell I dont know.
I thought photochop too at first, but with the camera focused on whats closest to it, (the squirrel)...the people in the back are going to be naturally out of focus.
Plus I didnt find it, or hear about it on the web. I actually seen it on the news this morning before I went to work. So I had to go check it out at the address they gave.

I'd say the photo you posted is real.
It seems about every time someone posts a pic now days someone else says it's a hoax. On hunting boards it usually involves some type of animal accused of being photo shopped. My comment about the added people in the photo was intended as a joke. I was simply running with it, only in reverse. :laf:
