Not too sure about this...(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190212/822a10134994e36fae28e71b007e0307.jpg)

Looks like a couple little winch's to me . Could be used for a number of things. If ya could train your wife to afix a beer to the line it would retrieve it for ya. :readthis:
They were reviewing them on a few of the fishing FB pages, and they weren’t getting a stellar rating.
I dont think they are going to get one from me either.
In all fairness I havent had the time to mount one of them yet and string it up, but if you seen my FB post...it's not looking promising.
The screw that holds the line guide on one of them was hanging out as I took it from the package.
The brake on one of them is so tight I swear I'll need a 4 way lug wrench to adjust it. It's binding on something :iroll:
Also they seem pretty crude in functionality. Push the thumb bar down to release the line and when you go to turn the crank which in turn closes the thumb bar again, it takes a significant amount of force to turn that crank. Not very smooth at all until you get enough pressure to send that thumb bar back home. I think it's easier to kick start a Harley. And I might be kicking starting the crank to get the bail to close :doh2:
All in all it was a promo that SixGill was running. Buy one get one for a limited time. Which was a good deal.... or sooooo it sounded like one.
A couple years ago you guys might recall I ran into another situation with Savage Gear, Savage Fishing...or something along those lines. The reel was absolute garbage. Pretty disappointed once it arrived. I donated it to a local fishing event as a prize. I pity the poor fool. :innocentwhistle:
You read my reply on Facebook. Sell that other one to the guy who wanted to try one and you have a free reel. Or better yet, you can sell it for half off the retail price and have a profit from your mistake.
Tape them together with duct tape and you'll have a 12 gill reel which should be able handle anything :innocentwhistle:
nasty! wtf :laf: :laf:
If I dont like them Jerry I may give them both to him. He's been a good friend for many years. He was actually my boss when I worked at Cabelas. I got along with him"reel" good. And have kept in contact with him ever since I quit.
I got bored yesterday so I went to Cabela's and picked up a 7 foot Johnny Morris for one of the Sixgills.
I wish they would have had these rods in there when I bought my other ones. This is a Bass Pro Shops model and I absolutely love it. Too bad I had to put a $40 reel on it LOL
We don't have any open water yet so I'll have to sling this in the yard a couple times to satisfy the urge LOL. Not going to happen today though, 70 mile an hour winds and 12 degrees.

As long as you cast with and not into the 70 mph winds you will have your best distance EVER.
:laf: that is sooo true

Catch any?
Man, Jim, you got it bad, out there casting in the snow.
That looks like a good northern pike spot :innocentwhistle:
Put some peanuts on the end and see if you can catch a squirrel or maybe a bird. :innocentwhistle:
I would slow your retrieve down to due to the cold temperatures. :yoyo:
Never had a bite. I'm going to try again later this week. It's suppose to cloud up.
Jerry I have hit rabbits. I thought I posted a video this summer of me belting a rabbit with a spinner jig down by my wood pile. It's so fun cause they are watching me and dont expect it. :alscalls: :innocentwhistle:
Throw one of those 1-1/2 oz. punch rigs and it would be like shooting a slug. Cheap way to put meat on the table.
I think you shoulda tried around those deck pilings Jim.
You need to park those nice reels in something for the Winter Jim.

I think Glen is on to something there - especially in the frozen north.
A reel garage HaMeR? lol
Ronnie, I think it would funner to hook one :innocentwhistle:
10-4 Jimbo!! Them aint fake garages!!!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
:nono: :nono: Purdy bad huh?? :laf: :laf:
That reel garage will keep those little BALLS that are inside the sack nice and warm and keep the snow off of them. :yoyo: :yoyo: :yoyo:
I see what you did there... :innocentwhistle: :whew:
