This site gets sloooow

Most evenings, this site gets reallly slow. I know internet traffic is high and that affects it, but could my old jalopy computer also be a prob? I did a connection check this afternoon and connected at around 560kbs. Did a ping check, around 1440, whatever that means.

For some reason tonight yeah we are really lagging. I've got some people at the data center where our server resides looking things over.
By the looks of my logs something has been amuck since around 7:00 this morning.

I tried to get on earlier tonight, don't remember exactly when,
maybe around sevenish, wouldn't even open up. After goin to
a few other sites and I came back then it popped right up.

Yep, a little faster than a snail's pace but then again most everything's a little slower down here in the south.

I gave up on it last night Tuesday 3/17/09. Very slow. Had to read a book instead. I found this book at the library called American Rifle, a biography by Alexander Rose. It was really interesting. You guys might enjoy it.

It seems to be doing pretty good this morning. Maybe it is like me and slows down as the day goes on.

Took me about 5 tries to get on, but once on here, it's going pretty good. Every little whipstitch

, a page won't come up and a refresh or two will get it going. Still not right, but it's working.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the data center also. So what the heck is a whipstitch anyway. I kinda think I'd like to get one. Can ya buy em?
