VERY cool pics. Did you take those?
That reminds me...setting on the ice yesterday morning ice fishing and a Bald Eagle came in and started pawing around in some open waster by one of the springs. Pretty amazing as he was only about 50 - 60 yards away.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

Wow!!  Those are some great pictures.  We saw a bald eagle while hunting at LBL last year.  I saw another fly over near the Little Kanawha River here near home recently.  They are certainly majestic creatures!!

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

Cool snaps.

What camera did you use? I hate the new Photobucket, it automatically removes FxIF/EXIt data.

Hawks Feather

Really nice shots.  I too would be interested in knowing the equipment you used.  With that being said, we know that it is not the 'equipment' but the photographer that makes the image.

Panasonic DMC FZ-70. 60x optical + 60x digital. For a total of 120x zoom. I found my window mount. So I expect a little sharper pics in the future. I do clean up any blurred edges on Photobucket. Because all of my pics are (rested)/handheld.

Jim,

It's basically the same focal range as your Canon.... both equivalent to 1200mm.

The Panasonic lens is 3.58-215mm (60x)
Canon's lens is 4.3-215mm (50x)

Where they differ is the low end. Panasonic has a wider view on the bottom end (equivalent to 20mm vs. 24mm).

A couple things I think Panasonic messed up on their new bridge camera.

1. Downgraded the lens (no longer f/2.8 available throughout the entire zoom range)
2. No cable release for the shutter.

Oh so it IS the photographer and not the camera :doh2:  :laf: :laf:
