Nice pics too. I wish more folks would do this.  :innocentwhistle:

In your 1st pics is that a flooded road or a boat ramp to your fishin hole?  The last pic off the bridge is neat.  That is one wide river right there!!

Thanks for sharing.

good pics. Most of our snow is gone from the fields but still a lot on the mountains.

Yeah that is a boat ramp you see looking under the train overpass. There's a gravel parking lot etc on the other side there with it. In a few weeks the water will be almost coming out the tunnel there, as the spring floods move in, so I wanted to see if I could get a before and after.

The top 7 pics are the Mississippi River, the bottom 3 are the Wisconsin River.
The Mississippi is 5 times as wide as the Wisconsin. Those pics are of one in many backwater sloughs accessible from by foot.
Makes some good coyote country when it's all froze.....if ya get out there :doh2:

I like the fourth one from the bottom.  Since you don't want to just hear - good shot.  You have used an abstract rule of thirds quite nicely and the highlighted center area draws the viewers eye into the picture.

Thanks for the pics Jim.  Which way from your place were these taken?
I say what I think not think what I say.

FinsnFur

The bottom three are (Northwest) from here. Wisconsin River.
The big bridge we crossed going to eat that night is the last pic, and the next two up are feeder sloughs under that bridge.

Everything above those is the Mississippi backwaters, 4 miles straight West of my front porch.

My trip wasn't a waste by any means then as I thought this was the bridge, I actually recognized something     from your country.
Why do you put up them little bitty pictures?  Does it save bandwidth or something .

GunDog

Appears that your looking at fishing holes from here - grin. Great pictures boss, thanks :yoyo:

I put the little bitty pictures up in respect of the members with little bitty internet access. If the pictures are very big and there's several of them posted,  when the members with little bitty internet access come in to look at the pictures they have to wait...and...wait...and....wait...and.....wait...

But you as a big boy with big boy internet can click on the pictures and make them larger.
So it's a win win :sneer:
