Seems a little weird posting in the fishing forum, but I got a question about my canoe.

I bought this 3 years ago & never got it in the water. :doh2:
Well now that I'm working for myself I have some time (Coyote Kate tells me to take some time) for some R&R.
Anyhoo, it's a 14' aluminum & I'm wondering what should I do to clean it up?  :wo:
My ideas are to take some Scotch Brite to it & then wax'er down w/ car wax.
I'm hoping maybe you guys know of a less labor intensive way.  :whew:
:laf:
Any suggestions would be appreciated from this landlubber.

You can buy stuff to spray on that aluminum, and it'll make the bad boy look like it just came off the showroom floor.
It's some kind of acid, I cant recall the name of it, but they use it religiously on semi trailers and it's amazing how they clean up.

Prolly not much help with out the name but it's out there.

I think you should ship it to Montana. I will be happy to clean it up and test it for you. Or you might try a Scotch Brite pad on a palm sander.
sometimes I wonder....is that getting closer..... then it hits me

I had a personal conflict the other day, now I'm not speaking to myself.... I'm getting lonesome

I met the girl of my dreams, I was the man of her dreams too.....she used the term "nightmares" though.

The name of the spray on stuff that Jim is talking about is called ZEP
You can get it in a spray can or buy it by the gallon to mix it with water and scrub brush it on rinse it off and your done it will make it look white then take some stuff they call purple wipe that on wipe that off and the shine comes back

That sounds almost as good, but it includes a lot of windshield time and I think I might be getting allergic.  :innocentwhistle:  :alscalls: :alscalls: :alscalls:

Just curious then; how much weight would it take to keep a dead body under water?  :wo:

FinsnFur

Depends on whether or not it's perforated. :laf:
