Well after several years of having a hard time with his compound (due to a bad shoulder) I talked the old man into trying a cross bow this year. Thanks to Lynn! Got him all sighted in and set up, took three sets in the tree for him to shoot this 10 point at 10 yards! He was a happy camper! Thanks Lynn!

yeah nice job, I'll bet he WAS happy. Nice deer.
What's with the dog :shck: ....oh wait that's a fawn
Good Job! Nice buck to boot!
The crossbows have opened up alot of hunting to people with shoulder and back problems glad they made them legal here last year.
Now that is a NICE deer! I would have sat in that tree for a week for a shot at that one LOL.
Congrats you guys!

I had been trying to talk him into a cross bow for several years, he has shoulder trouble and just cat shoot a compound anymore. He had a 180" or better buck in front of him last year and was cold and could not get the bow back, and he had to watch it walk off. I was talking to Lynn earlier this year and he fixed him up with a Horton, Nitro hunter, and everything to go with it! Super nice of Lynn, shipped it all the way from his home to here.
I got it set up, and then got him up here to the house to shoot it. After a few shots with it, he was going to give it a try. I put him in a stand on Sunday eve at 3:00 he shot this deer at 4:05
Made me feel so good to see him get to shoot a nice deer again, after several years of having a hard time with the compound!
Jim, thats my brother - in - law this is his first year bowhunting. Thats the first deer he ever shot at with a bow. Put him in a stand at 2:00 he shot that one at 4:35.
Not a bad Sunday eve!
