Here is the new Prairie Blaster from Foxpro:    Some of the guys who saw them demonstrated at the Pa. show were highly impressed.  Here is a new link to see if it works o.k.:

Ya need to fix your link, Al.   :nono:

I've seen a pic of one and it looks to be a monster of a call with a monster $700 price tag to boot.   :eyebrownod:

Thanks for the heads up, Semp.  I don't know what went wrong with the link, as it was working.  Oh well, you can go to PM for a visit and it is in the electronic calls section under a thread "Introducing the new Foxpro".  Here is a new link. Maybe it will work better:

All that volume might be OK for ducks & geese,, I don't hunt em,, but I know for a fact,, 1st hand experience,, there can be too much volume for crow hunting. I guess you gotta give em credit tho for spending all that $$ on R&D for a new product in these times. I'll stick with my FX3 tho.

 :shck: 9.5 pounds?  :whew:
Well, that big boom box may be the best thing since sliced bread for some duck hunters but anytime I felt the need to scare every coyote in the country I would max out the volume on my JS 512 LR and save myself a lot of $$$$$.

BTW, I'm not anti-Fox Pro. I own one of their antique 532 callers w/remote.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I aint against em...they work ....but for that kinda money I do agree ....more realistic sounds would be more important to me.
And the weight and battery size..... :nono: Not for me not for that kinda money... :nono:
And I cant say that over there or they will kick me off AGAIN... :laf: and personally I am saving that day for the
red @#$$%$#@#$%^$  Someday.

I think the name of the caller tells what it was intended for.  Prairie Blaster.  If you hunt the great West/Southwest that caller could really get the sound out there for you.  If you park your truck and hike in 75-100 yards and make your stand on flat to rolling country the weight won't be so bad.   Running up and down West Virginia and Kentucky hills with it would be another matter though.  :eyebrownod:

It is a specialized caller for a particular geography and terrain, IMHO.

it's pretty much what the callers that had the scorpions were doing anyhow.  they were buying the scorpion and adding the sp55 speaker and making it a long range call.  I think that the yoters den even made a bag that held the scorpion and the sp55 speaker combo together into one unit.  foxpro got a bigger housing made and stuffed two tweeters a cone speaker and the sp55 in the other end and then added more batts to make em last longer.  I am sure there are some other differences in the guts but I know it uses the new fury style remote.  it is loud.  but it is really clear and loud.  it also has a decoy that is in it.  I did not see a place to put the topper though.  i did not really get to look at it much just watched smokin joe operate the unit.

BigBen:  It has a place to insert either length wire for the topper.  At this point, I don't know the exact measurement of the battery compartment, but I feel pretty sure that it will hold a SLA 12V if you prefer.  Having it all in one package is a good deal if you need that volume, decoy setup, and stereo amp.  I would prefer that to carrying an extra speaker and the JIB.  Its all about offering a variety of quality callers to satisfy a variety of hunters. The new technology on the remote is so much more dependable.  I have tested that remote with the Fury about every way imagineable with it never failing to operate the caller.

I would take one but I would never throw down $500+ for an E-Caller!  I like calling them in on custom hand calls....I get a lot more Satisfaction!
