This is the 2nd bear sighting in 3 days withinin 30 miles of my house They are reporting this to be the same bear I don't believe that one bit.The first sighting was 15 miles north of this one and there are to many small towns and to many roads to cross for this bear not to be seen. This is right down town  and to the east of this sighting about 1 mile there was one spotted last year.

My brother arrived home at 10 PM last night to find a large, male bear with a collar on it's neck sitting on his front porch eating dog food. He scared it off with his fireman siren. In Rockcastle Co Ky. There were 4-5 reports of other bears in general area yesterday. Not the same one, some were smaller.

Bill,

There are NO bears in Ohio.  I think it is just some guy in a bear suit.

Jerry

P.S. Keep that one down your way.

Bill, One of my friend 's from Pike county ,Ohio called me about a  bear sighting down near his place, last week. Jack said one of the fellows that he works on his trucks  had photos from his stealth cam he had set up ! Jack said it was a pretty good size one and had a red tag in it's ear!  So there must be a few of 'em around !  Guess we 'll have to be a little more cautious when calling  !

We have had several in the last 4-5 years here that the DNR has had to live trap and move. They have took up residents in small towns or in some ones back yard. They were real bad about getting in the trash looking for food. It is just a matter of time before someone calls on in on a stand. That would make good video!!!!!!!!!!!

Bopeye

Down where my brother lives in Crab Orchard, Tn. they are seeing a bear quite frequently less than a mile from his house. He has the baby now and a paranoid wife, so he came to me. My brother isn't much of an outdoor type, so I let him borrow a few goodies that should help repel any bear invasion in the event that it occurs.

They watch too many movies.......... :rolleye:
