I was hunting for any squirrel. We first saw a red but it hid in some leaves. So we went and made it think we left and we came back.We didnt see it but we didnt give up.So we were going to leave and then my dad saw the red again. The first shot hit it,but not a killshot.I told my dad "Dad its gonna fall in the river" and he said"No it wont".The next shot missed. Then finally,I shot the heart. It fell in the river and my dad jumped in the river and got it for me.

I need to get some more .410 shells :laf:

Feel proud young man as you deserve too :yoyo:.  I really like the colors you are wearing as it's the time of year to be very visible to other hunters who weren't brought up as well as you obviously are being taught.  That thing do look damp :laf: :laf:.
I say what I think not think what I say.

Devon,

Congratulations on the squirrel.  A .410 is not the easiest gauge to use to knock them down, but you did it.

Jerry

I wonder if I can borrow your dad so that I can go hunt along the rivers around here.

After tellin him it wouldnt, I had to fetch it for him.   He would have been heart broken if we didnt bring it home.     Water was just a tad bit cold but not freezing lol.

I walked about 4 miles yesterday in search of some pheasant and ended up with this little guy.   The kids red was the same size and it only took him a little walk lol
