Our local regional airport had an air show on Sunday afternoon.  It was a beautiful day so I went to check it out.  Pretty awesome.

The A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog) close support plane.  Our infantry guys love them!!

The F-18 Hornet flown by both the Air Force and the Navy and Marines.

The Blackhawk helicopter.

The Kiawa Warrior helicopter.

An auto-gyro??

An experimental plane?  Homebuilt, I think?

The radio controlled club was there.

The day was devoted to our men in uniform, past and present.

Sky divers parachuted down.

Some acrobatic displays were pretty awesome!!

The A-10 demonstration was really cool.  I sure wouldn't want those guys shooting at me??  Wonder if you could coyote hunt with one????

This was called the Heritage Flight.  The A-10 and a P-51 Mustang flew together to represent planes from two generations.  Our very own Chuck Yeager flew the Mustang during WWII!

A great crowd came out to enjoy the show and the beautiful day!  The event was free.  They even had school buses to shuttle people from two remote parking places.  Really a great day and I'm glad I went.  Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!!

Interesting.

Reminds me of my younger days dropping into Iwo Jima to give air support for my buddies.
