Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos.

The TV is flooded with commercials from law firms looking to take new cases of people that have been diagnosed with Mesothelioma due to employment, the military etc.

But ya know what is kinda weird here. They all say in fine print at the bottom of the screen, "representation not available in Kentucky and Ohio".

Now what's that tell ya? :doh2:

we did some work at a Kentucky utilities power plant a few years ago and a boiler exploded and sent asbestos all over the plant and on us ...when we got done and was leaving we tried to get some documentation that we were exposed to asbestos ....pretty much they told us sorry you do get any paper work on that ....only if we get sick in about 20 years ,,,and we will have to fight for it then
my goal: do as much as I can, as fast as I can, for as long as I can, and at the end of the day if I'm not satisfied I will be to wore out to care

I'm betting it's from all the industry, and other air born pollutants. Mainly Indiana, but perhaps the West winds are haulin it to Ohio and Kentucky. :laf:

When I went down to Ohio for the LBL, I had my boy with me. He woke up the morning after our arrival with his eyes swelled shut, coughing and weezing, and snot running out of every orifice on his face. I never seen anything so bad.
We spent the night in Ohio and once we were up and dressed we headed into town to find a drug store.

The pharmacist asked if she could help us and I said yeah, I don't know if we need an allergy medicine, or a shot of sodium pentobarbital. She got wide eyed and said what's the matter?
I pointed at Kyle and said well look at him.
She says how long has he been like that?
I said he woke up like this this morning.
She says, You all aint from round here are ya?
:laf:
After I explained how long we had been there and that we landed there last night from Wisconsin, she said, this is actually a mild case. It's from all the air pollution here, Ya'll aint used to it.
I said ya think?  :doh2:

You were down by the Ohio river There are alot of power plants and other industries that burn coal

The coal dust alone used to make my eyes itchy and watery, and I should have been used to it we heated with
coal when I was a younger, and even after I got married and are kids were lil ones.I even worked in the coal mines
One day I went to the doctor and told him I was having some sinus trouble and he checked me out he told me I had allergies    :doh2: I am 37 years old and ain't never been allergic to anything in my whole life

So I don't work the coal mines anymore

I remember my eyes & noses where a watering & I was gasping for any bit of fresh air I could find at the last of the LBL.  :puke:

I just figured it was pollutants from the chili fest. :iroll:   It didn't get much better on the way home either until I left Baltic, Ohio.   :innocentwhistle:  I was 50 then & developed allergies to that stuff real quick!  :nono:

My dad has a open pit coal mine out his back door. I mean littlery out his back door. The dust that gets kicked up when they blast is unbelevivable! The blast rocks my dads house and has slid my sisters trailer on its foundation. The smell around there is like sulfur and when the snow is on the grounds it is black near the roads like 20 feet off the roads.

My sister has asthma and has about two attacks a week and the only thing she can do is move. I wonder how the kids in the neighbor hood are gona be fairing in say 15 years.

Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.

Jimmie in Ky

This part of Ky has been termed cancer alleey for many years. Years of few or no regs and the companies pretty well put it on us. Last time Semp and I were in the LBL we heard an explosion from one of the factories at Calvert city, felt it as well. Nothing in th news about it.

The old landfill at the plantr were I used to work is on the government hot list, yet when the closed the plant they were not forced do do anything about it. All manner of carcinogens are burried there leaching into the ground water. Now you know why we can't get representation legally. Jiimmie

Jimmy,
Does that mean that the Crappie in KY Lake are potentially hazardous to your health?  Or does the joy of catching eradicate any carcinogenic possibilities?

Jim There are several water ways that run North. I seen a TV program on it once but I can't remember just how
many there are in the world.

1 was in Canada That one was mentioned
There is a creek right here beside my house that runs North. That might explain why I am somewhat different  :laf:

Jimmie in Ky

Almost everything feeding the ohio in Ky runs south to north. The tennessee river flows almost due west across tennessee until it hits near the shiloh battle field where it turns northward. The cumberland turns northword at th south end of the LBL. Jimmie
