New wood stove/man cave gonna get heat

Spent Sunday afternoon on a trencher, all day Monday and half the day Tuesday, laying line and installing an extra hot water heater for our new woodstove. Trenched to the garage to make a run there. I already have pex tubing in the floor just need to insulate the garage and hook it up. I did get the stove fired up for the house about noon on Tuesday. Just in time for the sub zero temps we are having. Sure is nice to keep the thermostat turned up.

As you can see, the freeze came before I had a chance to clean up the mess. I guess the little woman is gonna have to look at it till the spring thaw. The coffee can has some kind of powder that you sprinkle on the coals once a day that keeps the acid down to help prevent corrosion.

Hey Mike,
Is that a little camper trailer in the background?? That would be perfect for LBL. They have sites with full hookups!

Ahh no Mike, I wouldn't want to put any pressure on you to go have a great time with a swell bunch of guys for a few days. I was just thinking maybe Al and I could borrow the trailer for LBL. Course we don't know anything about them so you might have to come along, just to show us how it all works!! Besides, how much have you invested in the thing, and you're just going to let it sit there. Surely the wife would understand. You know, why buy it if you aren't going to use it??? ~~Prolly shouldn't say anything about the table dancing though~~! Ooops, strike that!!

Boy I wish we could have those here. They established an ordinance a couple years ago we cant have them in our village

FnF. Is it due to the emissions? If so, Central Boiler has what they call the E-Classic. It is like a gazillion percent efficient.

Yeah it's due to the smoke that bellows from them Mike. I never knew they made such a thing as the one you linked there.
I expect it'd have to be taken in front of our town board for approval. Something to consider

Same thing in my town or I would have went with an outside burner like that instead of a pellet stove.

We are fortunate. One, we don't live in town, and even if we did, there aren't any ordinances agains the outside woodburners.

I considered either a pellet stove or wood/coal burner but our house is configured such that we really don't have a good place to put a chimbly. That, and before we moved in '02, we had a Taylor for the same reasons and really enjoyed it.

We have a few around here but some burn straw, wheat or wood. Anybody do the geothermal thing?
