I guess I'm ready for winter to be done. I hate this "limbo" period between good winter and spring.
There's no good fishing, the rivers a mess, ground is muddy..I'm jonesing for some fishing.
I was just out caressing the kayak :innocentwhistle:
You can sit in it and hold the paddle. Every man has a little boy inside of him wondering how to act like a grownup. We won't tell!

With the new 'grooming' Jim has had lots of problems finding a full blanket beaver. :innocentwhistle: That may be the reason he is caressing his kayak.
Jerry
Caressing his kayak thinking about his beaver?
This thread may be headed for the adult section
Be careful you might go blind
Man, this thread went wrong in so many different ways...
If he gets Harry palms it might make it hard baiting his hook
At least his hands would stay warm while he's ice fishing though  :innocentwhistle: :alscalls:

Does it have a 2017 coat of wax?
Jerry
No...but it got a good one before I put it away and covered it. :eyebrownod:
That stuff does seems to help slow the process of river scum sticking to the boat and leaving a water line.
Just like the 1st day you opened it!! :laf: :laf:

Waxing his kayak. For 2017?
Fishing frustration. Common among anglers this time of year
Yah thatd be pushing it HaMeR lol
I have had the canoe out a couple times already. I even found a heck of a deal on a hummingbird fish finder. Fabricated up a mount and got that all ready, now we have another cold snap followed by thunderstorms. I can't win, but I'm ready.

A warm yak is a happy yak!! :alscalls: :alscalls:
Mother nature really threw us for a loop there two weeks ago. It was mid 60's for a long time then we got 18" of snow. Then it stayed cold and now it seems to be equalizing. I have had the boat out 4 times now.
Trip 1 to test the new side scan fish finder i got this past winter was a sucess with both the fishfinder wprking and catching fish. The girlfriend caught her first bass ever and i snagged a few myself.
Trip 2 was at raystown lake to look at some more stuff with the fishfinder. Put in and battled 2 ft waves for a few miles on raystown and then trailered to another spot. We didnt hardly fond anything on the first part except wind. The second part i tried an inlet found bait everywhere and some nice looking structure to fish in the coming season tried fishing but my trolling motor batt was done.
Trip 3 was tuesday and the water was high and muddy one small bass caught.
Trip 4 was yesterday. Same place as trips one and three. Fish were caught and looks like spring is finally here.
Hope you get out soon jim.

And we all know Jim loves wrapping his arms around a warm yak.
Jerry
:jump: love me yak!
I might bust her out this weekend finally :waiting:
The river is still in a mild flood stage though, it's dropping fast which will (well, should) ruin fishing but. :sad3:
Maybe I'll just get it out and take a cruise without the poles.
BAhh! Like that would ever happen. :nono:
