Bills Custom Calls

The commercials that were played at the Drive-in movies. The ones where the ice cream sandwich
the soft drink hot dog would all come out singing and dancing,in my younger years I always got a kick out of them

Chris and I went to the Drive-in last night and thought we would sit in chairs and watch a couple movies a few of the folks that she works with were there also. The 1rst movie started and I am hoping to see my favorite commercial to my disappointment it never showed,we watched the movie and I am thinking that I am going to get to watch it between movies nope they never showed it.

As we were watching the 2nd movie what seemed like an Alberta clipper moved in (Thanks Barry )
We roughed it out and got back home about 1:30 in the morning all in all it was a good evening even though it got so cold I couldn't even drink the beer I took along

I think there are all of three of them theatres left in Alberta .  I don't recall the advert but then you are "old".  They were certainly a part of my growing up experience and I guess I do miss them even though I don't recall one movie I went too :innocentwhistle:.
I say what I think not think what I say.

Carolina Coyote

A Drive-in Movie, WOW !! Did not know there was any left in the country, certainly a pleasant memory of the past. cc

I havent been to a drive in since highschool! They tore all of them down around here. But I can remember some wild and fun times. After the movies we usually ended up at a closed down airport runway watching the local street rods til the police showed up. :eyebrow:

We did about the same, except after the movie my lady and I usually ended up in a undeveloped subdivision (that was full of dead end gravel roads). No police or street rods but along the way we did see a few parked cars with steamed up windows. :innocentwhistle:

Someone reopened an old Drive in near where I live, they run the newest movies and are doing a booming business.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

What a great topic !...in high school the drive in was the spot to be...I was with a girl once in the beginning of my dating days and concentrating on being cool and when we left I drove off and forgot the dang speaker hanging on the window and looked in the mirror and saw the speaker cable pulling up out of the ground as I drove :doh2:..then one time we talked my buddy into streaking through the snack bar and he did with a paper bag over his head and ran into the door and knocked himself out and got arrested so we drove off and left him ....ahhh memories:
