Well I managed to find a few this past weekend. Definitely NOT the pace I was hoping for but I can't let Ben an Nasty get em all.

The river is so low right now is a surprise a guy can catch anything. Thats the only excuse I could come up with for myself lol.

I have to agree that that last fish looks more like a fish eater than a fish.

Yah the top one is a largemouth :laf: He's the only one I caught before moving to my fail safe smallie holes. Totally different river in fact :eyebrow:
Didnt harvest the snake. Other then making me jump out of my skin and then freeze a long staring pause...he didnt bother me much so I left him be as well. :whew:

HAHA I don't blame you Jimbo, but When I come across one I usually try to make sure he don't bother me or anyone else every again. cc

Nasty makes you wonder if the Nuclear Power plant on the river has anything to do with those fish getting cancer ?

Could be, I am pretty sure I wouldn't eat anything out of there! Jimbo up here we call them snakes northern watersnake, but they arent poison but they are aggressive and will bite the hell out of you if you mess with them.

This is my home river where I pull all the flatheads and channels out of.  The smallie fishing has been in the crapper there for a while now.  There is a well known guide I follow on facebook and he has stated that he hasn't caught one diseased fish out of the thousands they caught in the early spring pre spawn time frame.  I know a lot of people that eat fish out of this river and its the most diseased one of them all.

My sister sent me that she lives by the mighty Susque also.

Nice looking fish - any fish right now is nice looking - well maybe not that thing Nasty posted, but I'd still like to catch it.

I dangled a lure in front of one of those snakes one time and he chomped right onto it and then I had to unhook him, not my best decision I have ever made. :doh2:

FinsnFur

LOL...poor decisions nasty :laf:
I drag my lure over their back to get them to leave and had one get hooked once. :whew:
I looked like a 3 yr old with a wiffle bat as i made a ground pounding whip out of it, cause I was not touch that thing alive. :nono: :alscalls:

you guys are a bunch of sissies.  its just a little water snake.  I once caught a snapper on a jig that was interesting getting off.

I got this snapper two days after I wrestled a six-foot watersnake, which I found one night when I was out Bigfoot hunting with a candle and my old-timer pocket knife :innocentwhistle:
