Title: Precision Shooting article
Post by: Hawks Feather on July 02, 2007, 08:06:49 PM

My Precision Shooting magazine arrived today and in it there was a point that should have been made many months ago.  I heard it almost a year ago, but kept dragging my feet and almost waited too long.

"Ammunition shipments to local gun shops and police departments are being delayed for months because the Army has more than tripled its demand for small caliber ammunition.  There are millions of rounds back ordered because the war has put such a demand on manufactures," said Lana Ulner, manager of Ultramax Ammunition, a distributor for several manufactures.  "In some cases, it can take eight to twelve months."

This is followed by a few more staggering facts and then ends with.  Time to check your primer supply perhaps.
