Title: Turkey soup
Post by: coyote101 on May 03, 2022, 08:20:27 PM
I took a lot of the meat from my first 2022 turkey and made turkey vegetable soup. About 12 ounces of cubed turkey meat, 1/2 cup of carrots, 1/2 cup of celery, 1/4 cup of onion, a little poultry seasoning in each quart jar.  Into the pressure canner for an hour and a half, and it's soup.

I made six quarts, but we ate one that evening. I must say, it's pretty good.

Pretty cool.  Love pressure canning meat.  makes an easy meal on a cold day.

If it tastes as good as it looks it surely is a winner.  Next batch you need to put some Carolina Reapers or Ghost Peppers or at the very least Habanero in it.
