Hi, im new here, and i have a question.

I got another squirrel, and i decided i was going to skin this one. I couldnt get the legs or the head, because this was my first time, but i did get his back/front legs/stomach. So i have a decent size pelt. Now to tan it, i was told to put a ton of noniodized salt on the inside, wait 2 days, scrape it of, and do it again. Is this all i have to do?

Thanks
~Matt

Matt,
Here's one post that you may want to look at in particular... Tanning 101

Welcome aboard Drumachine.

There's a little more to it then dumping salt on it, but you'll see it all in the threads Hawk and coyotehunter have pointed out to you.

What doesn't make any sense to ya, bring back and we'll go through it
