Nice shooting by the young lady in charge of the dispatch patrol  :bowingsmilie:.  They got a pretty fair tail too, eh :wo:
I say what I think not think what I say.

HaMeR

Diane is asleep but she would say Thank You Barry.  :laf: :laf:

They usually have a 5-6" tail & it's bristly.  Kinda like a Turkey beard if I were to reference it to something for you.   :laf: :laf:

Made it out Sunday for a little groundhoggin. This one made the mistake of standing up waaaay too close to the truck. I got my chair & shooting sticks out & levelled him with the 204.  :eyebrownod: :eyebrownod:  The laser rangefinder showed 302yds!!  :yoyo: :yoyo:  That wasn't the real hilite of the day tho.  :eyebrow: Ya gotta quit looking at the picture & wishing y'all had these things to shoot.  :laf: :laf:

The hi-lite of yesterday was the hen & poults we seen along the road on our way out. The hen jumped in the high weeds & the little buggers flew up into some small trees just off the road. Diana has a pic of them in the tree but I haven't downloaded her camera yet. The next best thing to happen was that when we got to the field we were gonna hunt we weren't there 5 minutes yet when Diane asked what was on top of the bales about 600yds out. Here it was a blonde coyote setting there. I presume it was looking for groundhogs in the taller hay field. I went on a mission with no calls of any type. I made it out to within 300yds on a downwind round about trek but it was nowhere to be seen. So I figured what the heck & I just started using my voice to sound like a dyeing rabbit. By golly it came in downwind of me & I almost had the shot!! That was purdy cool.

Looks like you have now tied with Diane.  Either that or you won't post how many she has shot because you might be a little embarrassed.

Jerry

HaMeR

:laf: :laf: I believe we're tied. I asked her if she wanted that one & she said no.   I think it was cause the Farmer was there with us. I gotta get her in the 300yd club. She's out to about 280 already & just missed 426yds by a couple inches last year. That would have bested my 349yds.  :yoyo: :yoyo:

  I wonder if ol HuntnCarve coulda hit this one with those CB's he uses.  :innocentwhistle:

Maybe with a little "Kentucky windage"??? LOL!  But I don't think the CB would have enough gas left to break the hide. LOL!  When the hogs are "out there a ways"... I pull out the grandaddy of the back pastures, my .220 Swift!  You two would have to add a few hundred yards to catch my long shot with the Swift.
