A friend invited my wife and me to spend a few days at his house on Orcas Island, Washington State. We went over last week and will post up a few pics of the area. Nice country.
Sunsets were extra good due to forest fires in the region. This one taken off the deck on the water side of the house.

From the 2500 foot summit of Mt. Constitution on Orcas you can see a lot of islands, towns and the Cascade range of mountains. You can drive to the top.

Blacktail deer are extra small on the islands. This deer, photographed from the deck, had just walked up from the gravel beach into the woods.

Neat pictures. Becky's sister lives out there and we were there last year. Wish I could go back, but I think lobster sound pretty good this summer.
