Yeah if Jim would drive to my place in the FnF corporate Vette I would drive the rest of the way from here while he slept for the next  8 6 hours to the LBL.  :laf: :laf:

Yeah sneaking away for the weekend wouldnt be tough at all. The hard part would be getting an extra day to travel, cause I'm just over 10 hours away and 20 hours travel chewed out of a 48 hour weekend dont leave much :nono:

I'm not for sure Semp...I cant remember now without going back and looking at some time stamped photos. Was in in 07?

I'm pretty sure it was '07, Jim.   It was the first year at the LBL hunt for me.  I've been to all of them since then except the '09 Redbird hunt when they shut down the LBL for the ice storm.

Coast that Ford to Ohio & I'll get you the rest of the way. On the return trip I'll drag you back across the state line & you can start the Ford up there & continue thru the 55MPH States back to the house.  :alscalls: :alscalls:

Thats a 1200 mile round trip for this ol dog :sneer:
So probably when I get enough time under my belt at work to earn a vaca day or two. And own another vehicle with a little fewer miles on it.

Do you have kidnapping as a clause in your company rules as a viable reason for missing work?
Title: Re: The LBL hunt
Post by: FinsnFur on October 25, 2011, 09:42:08 PM
NO!  I never thought of that :wo:
Should I gag and bind myself or wait till it gets closer?  :laf: :laf:

Well start practicing now on the binding and you might try wrighting a ransom note. Nothing fancy just  something like "if we dont get the money in a week were gona bring him back"

I worked on this a little bit today, until I got tired of trying to escape.
I was going to flip some furniture over and stuff to make it look more authentic.  :laf:

Think it'll work?

Hey everybody!  Been gone for a while.  Let myself get way, way sidetracked with another addiction.  Like I needed another!  Tinkering with .22's.  I know you guys understand about these kinds of ailments.

Are the cabins all full this year?  I may have to commute if that is the case, but I would really like to spend a couple of nights if possible.  I'm not a "be there for sure" just yet but I'm trying to lay my plans.  Wife's b-day comes right along about then so, I have to tread lightly, if you know what I mean!

Looks like a pretty good attendance list again.  Are there any empty bunks? Ed

@wked, I'm wondering if there are any cabins available also!! I doubt there are so I'm trying to get ideas as where to stay. I been wanting to attend this hunt for three years but was laid off and no money for the 09/10 hunts and working my butt off with no vacation in 11 and now I'm still working seven days a week but saved up 3/4 vacation days just for this hunt.  And looks like I will be sleeping next to the campfire. Lol
On a side note, I was thinking I was watching netflix( one of those unexplained animal shows???) and lbl was on.  there because of a big foot an alien or chupacabra ... Can't remember which one Lol
