I could go for some morel mushrooms right now...........they sure are good.

We were hunting land fish as a kid down on the Republican River in Nebraska when we came across a nest. Inside the nest were two different kinds of eggs. I called my grandpa over and asked him about it. He said they were pheasant and quail eggs. According to him, quail were notorious in that area for laying their eggs with the pheasants........he didn't know why they did that, but said he had seen it several times.
He passed away when I was 12. Maybe if he could have stuck around longer I would have been a better outdoorsman and less of a smart mouthed fat guy........... :sneer:

Bill, I tried eating the easter bunny before...........meaner than a wild cat........

According to top scientists, this year all Morel mushrooms are poisonous. If you find any,  call me and I'll come out and dispose of them for you.

Dogwoods' blooming makes me think of cool mornings and long beards.  My favorite thing to do in the spring.    :yoyo:
